The deal launches Liberty Insurance into the digital commerce space with their products such as the Kasambahay Insurance and Mediphone being made available for purchase online. This also launches the very first Content Commerce (C-Commerce) platform in Asia through Heartshaper Asia and its sister company, Marketboost.

The microsite will be promoted through a series of articles explaining the value of Liberty’s insurance products. Customers will then be able to directly purchase the insurance package they prefer through an online payment facility. Their policies can either be printed or sent to them electronically, or have an option to have the policy couriered.

The deal launches Western Guaranty into the digital commerce space with their product, the WGC PreparedCard, being made available for purchase online. This is part of HAI’s venture into Microinsurance through its Content Commerce (C-Commerce) platform.

Investing in a well-packaged digital ad unit can be a very effective tool for any company. According to Homer Nievera, CEO at Heartshaper Asia, “Investment in digital ads is more cost-effective than traditional advertising based on the performance metrics and smaller amounts needed to target specific audiences.”
Digital ad units usually takes the form of mobile and web to accommodate the ads in the said platforms.

Popular flash-sales site Ensogo has announced it is shutting down its operations across Southeast Asia. In a press statement, it said the Australia mother company will no longer support this business model but instead focus its cash on other new investments.
Having started its operations in Thailand, Ensogo was one of the first networked (SEA-wide) flash-sales sites in the region. In March this year, Ensogo in Singapore axed 22 of its 96 staff in an apparent move to a marketplace model. In almost the same time, I received an ‘offer’ to apply for the Philippine country head post. I declined.

Let’s accept it. Life is sometimes fair, and sometimes it is not.
The years go by and we learn that life throws us enough challenges for us to overcome. We level up in maturity and wisdom as we face each challenge squarely. The trick is not to run away but to use each and every talent God has given us to overcome life’s curve balls. The bonus? We get more learnings which are turned into additional weapons or tools to face life the next day.
